Top Chef commentary...

Restaurant Wars just aired this past week on Top Chef.  For those of you who do not know what that is, here is a brief explanation.  The remaining chefs are split into two teams and have to conceptualize, decorate, and execute a restaurant and its menu in roughly 24 hours.

This season the the talent was definitely stacked on one team.  Richard, Stephanie and Antonia all on one team, versus Dale, Lisa and Spike.  If you have been following this season you will understand how unfair these teams are.

However, the result of the show made me angry.  Out of the bottom three chefs, the one that should have stayed was booted off.  At first this made me upset, really upset.  I then calmed down after a while, then realized that, best case scenario, one of the two worst chefs this show has seen, will be making it to the final four.  Are you kidding me?!

This just proves to me that show's producers have too much power when it comes to elimination decision.  I have more faith that the judges would have seen the overall picture and eliminated the correct chef if the producers had no say.

Here is an interview with the voted off chef.  Enjoy.

Changes in your Weeds?

Yes, it is very true.  The upcoming season of our favorite Showtime show about a widowed housewife supporting her two children and brother-in-law by selling marijuana, will have some drastic changes in store for us loyal fans.

The big two big changes for me are as follows, no more Heylia, played by Tonye Patano and no more Melvina Reynolds singing 'Little Boxes' to open the show.  That is a damn shame, that song is great.  However, I do understand why the change in theme song, the Botwins have moved.

Well, I figure you will want to read the article for yourself, so I posted it.  Enjoy... but you may not be to thrilled with some of the changes.

Let me know what you think.

The fifth and final.

If you have yet to see up to the May 20th airing of the show, beware of spoilers.

Well for those of you who do not know me, I am slightly obsessed with a television program called 'Battlestar Galactica'.  The show is pretty damn good, and in 2004 was claimed by Time magazine to be the best show on television (I think it was 2004).  The show can be described as a science fiction political drama.  Yeah, I know, sounds a bit ridiculous, but it is quite entertaining.

However, I have some problems with the last season and final currently airing on the Sci-Fi channel.  My problems are many, but the elephant in the room is, this last and final season is boring me to death.  We get it, Starbuck is crazy, Rosyln is filled with cancer, the four cylons on Galactica are confused, Baltar is useless, and the search for Earth is not looking so great.  We get it, damn.  We do not need nine episodes in a row reenforcing what we have grasped since episode one of this season.

The season has had its moments however, my favorite being actress Mary McDonnel in a less than convincing bald cap, the death of Callie, Gaeda's singing (laughable) and the ever so close return of Lucy Lawless as D'Anna.  However great these moments have been, it has not made up for a boring season.  I, as a fan, want to see healthier plot lines, unexpected twists and deviousness.  I feel neglected by the writers.  However, I am not going to stop watching.

Now, onto the the final cylon.  Who do you think it is?  I have one theory on who the final cylon might be.  I am leaning towards Helo played by Tahmoh Penikett.  My reasoning is based on the cancer of the beloved president.  If the blood from a half cylon half human is supposed to cure cancer than why did Hera's blood not work?!  Because Helo is a cylon.  Meaning, that the Chief's child with Callie is the one to save Rosyln and not Hera.

Who do you think is the fifth and final?
